How to install the Eurolux C86W 3-In-1 Square Bathroom Heater

The Eurolux C86W 3-In-1 Square Bathroom Heater has a unique, modern design, perfect for warming up your bathroom during the colder months. The 3-In-1 unit is made up of a light, a warmer and a built-in extractor fan, which can easily be mounted to a bathroom wall.

The all-inclusive kit also comes with a switch, 4 x infrared 275W heating lamps and 1 x 100W central lamp, as well as ducting, an external vent, and a cover plate to run each feature separately.

Safety guidelines

Check for any hidden timbers, wiring or water pipes in the cut out area before installation, the unit should have at least 280mm or more space around it
to allow for airflow. Ensure that your ceiling fan can take the weight of the fitting. Always ensure that the electricity is turned off before installation.

Do not install the unit directly over a shower or bathtub where the water or steam can make contact with the heat lamps. An adequate airflow is required.

Never touch the lamps while the power is on, allow 5-10 minutes for the lamps to cool down before touching/replacing lamps.

*NB: Make sure to consult an electrician if you decide to install the unit yourself.

How to install the Eurolux 3-In-1 Square Bathroom Heater

Step 1: Switch off the light breaker at the Distribution Board

Step 2: Remove the existing bathroom switch from the wall and assess the cables and confirm that the conduit can cater for an additional three cables (to install the heater, you will need to add an extra 3 cables, but are joining 4 in total - these are the return cables)

Step 3: Mark out the supply and return cable from the light being replaced

Step 4: Remove the light fitting in the bathroom, and disconnect the cables from the fitting and switch

Step 5: Cut away a section of the ceiling board as per the cut-out dimension (298mm x 298mm) to fit the new heater

Step 6: Remove the reflector and lamps, and disconnect the coil spring from the hooks on the moulding, to remove the front cover

Step 7: Mark out the cables so you know which to use on either side, and feed the cables from the light fitting through to the switch, and connect on both sides

Step 7: Connect the cables to the unit

Step 8: Push the fitting upward to snap firmly into position, flush with ceiling, then fix the fitting into place with the self-tapping screws, re-attach the front cover and insert the lamps

Step 9: Then connect the new switch on the wall

Fan assembly

  • Connect the 5 core cable from the fan to the surface mounted switch: 1 x live, 2/4 x heaters, 1 x light, 1 x fan
  • Ensure the fan is centred, and the unit is whole
  • Connect the power and test the unit
